Major paintings start with a concept — an idea, perhaps nurtured for years— inspired by what Bill has seen and experienced.
The design is a time consuming process and must perfectly reflect his vision. Usually 2 to 4 months are required to complete major paintings because of complexity of design and time required to paint.
At best, pictures on this site can only suggest the depth, intensity, brilliance and freshness of the original painting.
